Breakthrough Minerals (ASX:BTM) is an environmentally responsible, diversified mining group with a core focus on base and precious metals exploration across a diverse, multi-commodity portfolio of projects.
BTM has a diverse, multi-commodity portfolio of projects, with a particular focus on the newly acquired Errolls Gold Project in Western Australia’s mineral-rich Barrambie Greenstone Belt.

Graeme Robertson
Non-Executive Chair
- Over 30 years’ experience in the coal, infrastructure and power development industries.Former CEO and Managing Director of New Hope Corporation from 1982 -2005, where he pioneered the development of major international companies including as President Director of Adaro Indonesia, the largest single open cut coal mine in the Southern Hemisphere, President Director of Indonesia Bulk Terminal, a 12 mtpa capacity bulk coal port and an advisor to the development of the 1,230MW Paiton Power station, the first IPP in Indonesia.
- His career has spanned both public and private energy related developments including directorships with the Port of Brisbane Authority and Washington H. Soul Pattinson & Co Ltd, one of Australia’s oldest listed companies as well as AfrAsia Bank in Mauritius.
- The recipient of the Asia 500 Award in 2000 and the Coaltrans Lifetime Achievement Award in 2010 for his contribution to the coal industry.
- A fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Member of the Australian Institute of Energy.
Nigel Broomham
Managing Director
- Experienced mining executive and geologist with more than 15 years’ experience across exploration, resource development, mining operations and corporate leadership.
- Was previously Chief Executive Officer of Battery Age Minerals Ltd (ASX: BM8). During his time at Battery Age Minerals, he led a period of significant growth through exploration, corporate strategy, global project acquisitions and the material expansion of exploration projects across multiple jurisdictions.
- Prior to Battery Age Minerals, Mr Broomham held senior leadership roles with Pilbara Minerals Ltd (ASX: PLS), including Head of Geology and Production Superintendent at the world-class Pilgangoora Lithium Project. In these roles, he led teams through the full project lifecycle from exploration and resource definition through to mine development and production. His broader industry experience includes roles with Mineral Resources Limited, Consolidated Minerals, Hancock Prospecting (Roy Hill) and Golder Associates.
Peretz Schapiro
Non-Executive Director
- Peretz Schapiro is an experienced investor and public company director with a focus on the resources sector, known for his strong investor network and expertise in building high-growth businesses.
- He holds a Master’s degree in Applied Finance and brings a diverse professional background in corporate finance, resource exploration, management consulting, marketing, and financing.
- Mr. Schapiro is the founding Chairman of Loyal Metals (ASX:LLM), Chairman of Desert Minerals (ASX:DSM), Chairman of Xenora Minerals (ASX:XRA) and has served as a director for several other ASX-listed companies.
William Dix
Non-Executive Technical Director
- Will Dix is a geologist with 30 years of experience in base metal, gold, and uranium exploration and mining, including seven years with international nickel producer LionOre Mining International.
- He has extensive expertise in project and team management, along with significant experience in capital raisings, mergers, acquisitions, and divestments.
- Mr. Dix holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science (Geology) from Monash University, is a Fellow of AusIMM, and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD). He is currently the Managing Director of Xenora Minerals (ASX:XRA) and a non-executive director of Stelar Metals (ASX:SLB).
Joel Ives
Company Secretary
- Chartered Accountant with extensive experience as a Financial Controller and Company Secretary for private and public technology and resource exploration companies, and has supported multiple ASX listings, both through IPOs and RTOs, and has ensured ongoing regulatory compliance post-listing.

Marty Costello
Strategic Advisor
- Mr. Costello is a leading project development and sustainability strategist in the Australian resources sector, with over 20 years experience. Martin has lead mining advisory and consulting businesses, and his experience includes being retained by Evolution Mining for an 8 year period to provide strategic project development and ESG advice to the board and executive management team.
- Most recently, Martin lead the sale of Wolfram Limited to Indonesian mining company Bumi Resources TBK, and prior to that held executive and non-executive management positions with True North Copper in Queensland, and Tennant Consolidated Mining Group in the Northern Territory.

- Geological project generators with a unique perspective on mineral exploration that has resulted in numerous grass roots discoveries across multiple commodities, including lithium, REE’s, uranium and specialty metals
- Identified, acquired and vended the world-class Shaakichiuwaanaan Lithium Project in James Bay Canada for Patriot Resources (ASX: PMT, TSX-V: PMET).
